The silence of heights
HISTORY
SILENTSYS was established in France in 2021, emerging from several years of advanced research in time-frequency science and photonics initiated in Switzerland.
From its early foundations, the company has been dedicated to the engineering of ultralow noise systems, addressing the most stringent requirements in frequency stability, phase noise, and signal purity.
Over the years, SILENTSYS has evolved into a technology-driven company delivering high-performance solutions to research institutions, industrial partners, and system integrators worldwide. Its development has been supported by leading European innovation programs and strengthened through close collaborations with academic and industrial ecosystems.
Today, SILENTSYS designs and manufactures advanced photonic and electronic solutions from its base in France, positioning itself as a trusted partner for precision technologies operating at the limits of physical performance.
VISION
SILENTSYS is driven by a clear ambition: to set new standards in ultra-low noise performance while delivering technologies that operate reliably in real-world environments.
Beyond pushing the limits of photonics and electronics, the company focuses on transforming advanced scientific principles into robust, deployable, and industrial-grade solutions.
By mastering the interplay between photonics, electronics, and system engineering, SILENTSYS develops technologies that combine extreme performance with stability, usability, and integration capability – meeting the constraints of field applications and industrial systems.
SILENTSYS serves as a strategic partner for organizations operating in demanding environments – ranging from quantum technologies and time-frequency metrology to sensing and high-performance communication systems – where reliability, scalability, and operational readiness are critical.
Bridging fundamental science and practical deployment, SILENTSYS delivers solutions designed not only to achieve record-level performance, but to sustain it outside the laboratory.
Our values.
They drives us everyday. They are the cornerstone of what we provide.
Rooted in curiosity and innovation, our values inspire us to make cutting edge technology accessible and impactful every day!
SILENTSYS was founded and is led by people that are passionate for innovation, with a mission to redefine the boundaries of ultralow noise technologies.
Our executive team.

Dr. Pierre Brochard
Pierre Brochard is the President and co-founder. He is a photonics scientist and entrepreneur with a passion for new technologies and challenges. Since February 2021, he leads the company with a high motivation and expert knowledge on ultralow noise systems acquired during his international career in the field of time and frequency metrology.

Ing. Romain Frénéhard
Romain Frénéhard is the CEO and co-founder. He is an electronics engineer with a long experience in industrial process and he is expert in low-noise electronics. Since the creation of SILENTSYS, he manages internal teams, process and projects to obtain an organization that best meets the needs of our customers in order to offers quality products.

Ing. Pierre Heslon
Pierre Heslon is the deputy CEO. He graduated as an innovation engineer and began his career in consulting and accompanying innovative companies where he worked with SILENTSYS during its early years.. He joined the adventure in 2023 to support the executives in management and with the goal of helping the team and the company grow.
Advisory board.

Prof. Mehdi Alouini
Mehdi Alouini is the Director of Institut FOTON and scientific advisor for Thales. Mehdi received the Ph.D. degree in laser physics from the University of Rennes in 2001. He was with Thales Research and Technology, Palaiseau, France, as a Research Scientist from 2001 to 2009. Since then, he joined the University of Rennes 1, France, as an Associate Professor then a Full Professor, where he led, up to 2017, the Optics and Photonics Department, Institut de Physique de Rennes.

Dr. Adèle Morisset
Adèle Morisset (CTO & COO) co-founded AeroDIODE in 2020 with Sébastien Ermeneux. Adèle graduated from an electronics & optics engineering school and a thesis with ALPhANOV and University of Bordeaux in 2013. She developed and managed projects on photonics systems like laser based microscopy system but also on the development of electronic boards for driving photonic components. This opto-electronics expertise is now at the heart of AeroDIODE solutions.
